Professional double glazing and high-performance door installations for Cheltenham homes.
Expert Window and Door Installation in Cheltenham
At DP Carpentry and Building LTD, we provide professional window and door installation services across Cheltenham, Gloucester, and the surrounding areas. When upgrading your home's exterior, choosing a standard glazing firm often means missing out on the crucial structural expertise required for a flawless fit. This is where our 'Carpenter's Advantage' comes in. We understand the complex structural timber and masonry surrounding your window and door openings, ensuring lintels and sub-frames are perfectly supported. From modern aluminium bi-fold doors to traditional sliding sash windows, we deliver high-quality fenestration that is secure, energy-efficient, and visually stunning.

Why Upgrade Your Glazing and Doors?
Investing in replacement double glazing or a new composite front door offers far more than just enhanced kerb appeal. Upgrading your home's windows and doors provides vital thermal efficiency, helping to reduce rising energy bills and keep your property warm ahead of winter. Modern A-Rated glazing and Low-E glass reflect heat back into your rooms, whilst advanced aluminium frames feature thermal breaks to prevent cold bridging. Furthermore, replacing old, draughty period windows with expertly fitted, high-security alternatives gives you total peace of mind regarding the safety of your home and family.
Navigating Local Planning and Building Regulations
Undertaking structural alterations or window replacements in Gloucestershire often requires careful navigation of local building regulations and planning permissions. This is particularly true if you live in a period property, a Listed Building, or within one of Cheltenham's beautiful Conservation Areas such as Montpellier, Pittville, Lansdown, or The Suffolks. DP Carpentry and Building LTD works to Cheltenham Borough Council guidelines. We specialise in the sympathetic restoration of period properties, expertly replacing traditional sash cords and weights while ensuring modern thermal performance meets strict building control standards.

We are proud to be the trusted local fitters for homeowners and developers across the region. Answers to common questions about our professional window and door installation services in Gloucester, Cheltenham & Gloucestershire and the surrounding Gloucestershire area.
Why Upgrade Your Windows and Doors?
+Replacing old frames does much more than just change the look of the house. It brings tangible benefits to your daily life.
Do you install double glazing for period properties?
+Yes, we specialise in working with older homes. We supply and fit high-quality replacement windows that meet strict conservation guidelines while still providing modern double glazing benefits.
What is the best material for improving thermal efficiency?
+Both modern uPVC and aluminium windows offer fantastic thermal efficiency. Aluminium provides a slimmer profile, letting in more natural light, while uPVC is highly cost-effective. We also provide bespoke timber frames with high-performance glass to keep your home incredibly warm.
Can you widen an existing doorway to fit a new style of door?
+Absolutely. Because we are builders, we can carry out the necessary structural alterations, including installing new lintels and adjusting brickwork, before your new frame is fitted.
How long does it take to replace the windows in an average house?
+Every project varies depending on the size of the property and the style of the frames. Typically, a standard whole-house window installation takes between three to five days. We always give you a clear timeline before we start the work.
