Home Renovations in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Ever stood in your hallway and thought, "If only this wall wasn't here"? You're not alone. Many people want that bright, airy, open-plan feel that's perfect for hosting Sunday lunch or keeping an eye on the kids while cooking. But knocking through walls isn't just about a sledgehammer; it’s about structural integrity. We handle the heavy lifting, from installing RSJs (those big steel beams) to making sure every load-bearing wall is safely managed. Older Gloucestershire homes often hide 'surprises' behind their plaster, and we'll plan for them. By managing the structural work and the building regulations, we make sure your new space is as safe as it is beautiful.

Living in a conservation area like Montpellier or The Suffolks comes with its own set of rules. You want to modernise, but you also want to respect the history of the building. That’s where our expertise really shines. We’re well-versed in the local planning requirements and Article 4 Directions set by Cheltenham Borough Council. We know how to carry out sympathetic restorations that satisfy the planners while giving you the energy efficiency and comfort of a 21st-century home. From repairing original lath and plaster to installing bespoke joinery that matches your existing period mouldings, we make sure the old and the new sit together in perfect harmony. Why settle for a generic fix when you can have a finish that honours your home's character?

What sets us apart from your average builder is our foundation in carpentry. We believe that the difference between a good renovation and a great one is in the 'second-fix' details. It’s how the skirting boards meet the floor, the way the architraves frame the doors, and the precision of the bespoke cabinetry we build into your alcoves. When we manage your renovation, that carpenter’s eye for detail is applied to everything we do. We don’t just 'fit' a kitchen; we ensure every cabinet is perfectly level and every joint is seamless. Imagine coming home to a house where every door closes with a satisfying click and every bit of storage has been handcrafted to fit your space exactly. That’s the level of finish you can expect from us.

Let’s be honest: having builders in can be a bit of a nightmare if it isn't managed right. We’ve all heard the horror stories of disappearing tradesmen and rising costs. We do things differently. We provide a complete 'turnkey' service, which means we manage the entire programme for you. You won’t have to worry about chasing the plumber or wondering when the sparky is going to show up—we handle all of that. We pride ourselves on clear communication and transparent, itemised quotes so there are no nasty surprises at the end. Plus, we’re a tidy bunch. We know it’s your home, not just a building site, so we keep things as clean and organised as possible from the first-fix right through to the final snagging list.
