Fitted Bedrooms in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Turn your bedroom into a clutter-free sanctuary
Ever find yourself staring at that awkward gap between the top of your wardrobe and the ceiling, or wondering how to make use of that dusty alcove next to the chimney breast? We’ve all been there. If you're fed up with 'standard' furniture that never quite fits, you're not alone. It leaves 'dead space' that just collects dust, while the room still feels cramped and messy. At DP Carpentry and Building LTD, we believe your bedroom should be a place to switch off and relax, not a place where you're constantly fighting for more storage. By choosing bespoke fitted bedrooms, you're not just buying a cupboard; you're investing in a smarter way to live. Fitted furniture can turn even the most cramped box room into an organised, peaceful retreat.

How it works in three simple steps
First, you tell us about your project. Call us or send a message through the form on this page. A few lines and your postcode is plenty to start.
Next, we come out to see you. We look at the space, listen to what you want and talk through the options. Then you get a detailed quote, so you know exactly where you stand.
Finally, once you are happy, we get to work. We keep you updated as the job goes, keep the site tidy and clean up when we finish.
That's it. No pressure and no jargon. Just clear answers and good work.
Why Choose Our Bespoke Fitted Bedrooms & Wardrobes?
Ditch the flat-packs for furniture that actually fits
While shop-bought wardrobes might look alright in a glossy showroom, they rarely look the same once they're squeezed into a real Stonehouse home. Many of the properties around here, especially the older cottages and Victorian terraces in nearby Stroud, don't have a single straight wall in them! That’s where our expertise comes in. We don't just 'place' furniture; we scribe-to-wall. This means we hand-cut our materials to follow the exact contours of your plasterwork, leaving a seamless finish with no ugly gaps. Our floor-to-ceiling cabinetry ensures you’re using every single centimetre of vertical space, giving you more storage than a free-standing wardrobe. Whether you’re after a classic Shaker style or a sleek, modern minimalist look, we build the carcass and doors to last, using high-quality materials that won't warp or wobble.
Squeeze more storage out of awkward spaces
Do you have a loft conversion with sloping ceilings or a room with a stubborn chimney breast right in the middle? Don't worry, we love a challenge. These 'problem' areas are actually the best spots for custom wardrobes and alcove units. Because we design everything from scratch, we can build right into the eaves or wrap a wardrobe around a corner, making the furniture look like a natural part of the house. It’s all about working with the character of your home, not against it.
Personalised interiors built for how you live
What’s on the inside of your wardrobe is just as important as how it looks on the outside. Are you a fan of long dresses that need full-height hanging space, or do you have a collection of shoes that needs a dedicated home? We'll sit down with you to plan out the internal configurations perfectly. We can install dual-height hanging rails, pull-out shoe racks, soft-close drawers, and even integrated LED lighting that turns on when you open the door. It’s those little details that make getting ready in the morning a bit less of a chore. Unlike national chains that offer a 'one size fits all' interior, we build your storage around your actual belongings.
Local Stonehouse craftsmen you can trust
We aren't a massive national company with a pushy sales team. We cover Stonehouse and nearby villages for fitted bedrooms. When you work with us, you're getting a team that manages the entire project from start to finish. If you need a wall moved to make more room or some first-fix electrical work for your new bedside lights, we handle it all. We treat your home with the same respect we'd treat our own, making sure everything is tidy before we leave.
