Bespoke Kitchen Design Installation in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Bespoke kitchens built for Tewkesbury life
Ever noticed how every house guest eventually ends up in the kitchen? Whether you're catching up over a brew or helping the kids with homework while dinner's on the go, it really is the heart of the home. But if you’re living in one of Tewkesbury’s characterful Tudor properties near the Abbey or a modern family home in Wheatpieces, you’ve probably realised that 'standard' kitchen units don't always play fair with your floor plan.
At DP Carpentry and Building LTD, we don't believe in forcing square pegs into round holes. Instead of trying to make a mass-produced, flat-pack cupboard fit into a wonky alcove, we design and build bespoke cabinetry that respects your home’s unique quirks. From Shaker style doors that never go out of fashion to sleek, contemporary layouts, we create spaces that aren't just for cooking, but for living.

How it works in three simple steps
First, you tell us about your project. Call us or send a message through the form on this page. A few lines and your postcode is plenty to start.
Next, we come out to see you. We look at the space, listen to what you want and talk through the options. Then you get a detailed quote, so you know exactly where you stand.
Finally, once you are happy, we get to work. We keep you updated as the job goes, keep the site tidy and clean up when we finish.
That's it. No pressure and no jargon. Just clear answers and good work.

Why Choose Our Bespoke Kitchen Design & Installation Services?
No more wasted gaps or filler panels
Are you tired of those awkward 15cm gaps that 'off-the-shelf' kitchen designers hide with plastic filler strips? It’s a waste of space, isn't it? When we talk about handmade kitchens, we mean every single millimetre is put to work. Imagine a pantry unit that actually holds the weekly shop or a kitchen island that doubles as a breakfast bar and a workspace.
Because we're expert designers and carpenters, we use a technique called scribing. This is where we hand-cut the edges of your furniture to follow the exact line of your walls. It’s essential for older Gloucestershire properties where straight lines are a bit of a myth! You get a seamless look that looks like it grew out of the room rather than just being dropped into it.
Everything handled from start to finish
Is there anything more stressful than trying to coordinate a plumber, an electrician, a tiler, and a joiner all at once? Juggling trades causes real headaches, which is why we offer a complete end-to-end service. We take care of the lot. We’ll handle the first fix (the messy bits like structural work and hidden pipes) and the second fix (the satisfying part where the doors go on and the appliances are fitted).
Whether you need a wall knocked through for an open-plan feel or want a high-end Quartz or Granite worktop installed, our team manages the project timeline. You won't be left with a half-finished kitchen for weeks on end. We show up when we say we will, and we’re obsessed with leaving your home immaculate at the end of every day.
Quality joinery that adds real value
A new kitchen is a big investment, so it needs to be built to last. We use solid timber and high-quality furniture grade materials that won't peel or sag after a couple of years. Our fitters are local tradespeople who take immense pride in their joinery skills - the kind of quality that makes a house a home and genuinely increases your property’s value in the Tewkesbury market.
Are you thinking about a contemporary update or a traditional bespoke kitchen design? We're based in Cheltenham and cover Tewkesbury and nearby villages. We're always happy to pop over for a chat about your ideas, look at your current layout, and give you a transparent quote. Let’s build something you’ll love walking into every morning.
