Bespoke Carpentry Services in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

Most of the bedrooms we see in Tewkesbury have some kind of quirk, whether it’s sloping eaves, chimney breasts, or wonky Victorian walls. Standard furniture usually leaves gaps that just collect dust, doesn’t it? Our fitted wardrobes are built from floor to ceiling and wall to wall, using a technique called 'scribing' to ensure the timber follows the exact contour of your walls. We can design the inside exactly how you want it, too—think double hanging rails, pull-out shoe racks, or hidden jewellery drawers. It’s about making your morning routine a bit easier by giving everything its own proper home.

Is there anything more iconic in a Gloucestershire home than the fireside alcove? Usually, they end up housing a mismatched bookshelf or a tangle of TV wires. We love transforming these spots with custom alcove units and media centres. We can build in hidden cable management to tuck away the PlayStation and the router, and add integrated LED lighting to show off your favourite books. Whether you want a traditional look with solid oak shelving and shaker-style doors, or a sleek, modern MDF finish painted to match your walls, we’ll create something that feels like a natural extension of your living room.

If you feel like your hallway is constantly cluttered with coats, boots, and the vacuum cleaner, you aren’t alone. You might want more storage without losing a whole room to get it. That’s where under-stairs storage comes in. We can install a series of pull-out drawers and tall cupboards that slide out effortlessly, making use of every single cubic inch of that dark triangle under the banister. It’s a simple change, but it makes a world of difference to the 'feel' of your home when you walk through the front door.

While we love the fine details of furniture, we’re also experts in the structural stuff. If you’re mid-renovation or building an extension, we handle all the first-fix carpentry like floor joists, stud walls, and roof trusses. Once the plastering is dry, we move on to the second fix—the bits you actually see and touch. This includes hanging internal doors so they click shut perfectly, fitting crisp skirting boards, and installing handrails that feel solid under your hand. It’s that attention to detail in the finishing touches that separates a 'standard' job from a high-quality home renovation.
