Bespoke Carpentry Services in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire

We've all been there: spending a Saturday afternoon wrestling with a flat-pack unit only to realise it sticks out past the door frame or leaves an awkward three-inch gap. It’s frustrating, isn't it? When you choose bespoke carpentry, you're not just buying a piece of furniture; you're investing in your home’s future. In Stonehouse and Stroud, we work with many Victorian and Cotswold stone properties where walls are rarely straight. That’s where our 'scribe-to-wall' technique comes in. We hand-finish every edge to follow the exact contour of your masonry, ensuring a seamless, airtight fit that shop-bought alternatives simply can't match.

Imagine waking up and seeing all your clothes perfectly organised in a floor-to-ceiling fitted wardrobe that uses every single millimetre of available space. No more cramming boxes on top or tripping over shoes. We design our wardrobes around how you actually live. Whether you need double-height hanging rails for long dresses, integrated shoe racks, or soft-close drawers with traditional dovetail joints, we build it to your spec. We often use high-grade MDF for a flawless painted finish that matches your decor, or solid oak for those who love the warmth and grain of natural timber.

Those alcoves either side of your fireplace are prime real estate, yet they're so often wasted. Why not turn them into a stunning library or a sleek media wall? We can design custom joinery that incorporates hidden cable management—so you never have to look at a tangled mess of wires again—and integrated LED lighting to show off your books or photos. It’s about more than just storage; it’s about creating a focal point in your lounge that feels sophisticated and uniquely yours. Have you thought about how much better your living room would look without the clutter?

Most people have a 'cupboard under the stairs' that’s essentially a dark void where vacuum cleaners and old coats go to be forgotten. We love transforming these into clever, pull-out storage systems. Imagine a series of sleek, handle-less drawers that glide out to reveal perfectly organised rows of shoes, bags, or even a pantry. It's one of the most satisfying upgrades for any home: finding 'new' space in a house you've lived in for a long time. It’s practical, it’s hidden, and it makes a massive difference to the daily school-run chaos.
