Bespoke Carpentry Services in Newent, Gloucestershire

If you live in one of Newent’s older properties, you’ll know that 'perfectly straight' isn't really a phrase used to describe the walls. Standard wardrobes and shelving units simply don't play well with wonky alcoves or sloping ceilings. We use a technique called scribe-to-wall, where we carefully cut and shape our timber to follow the exact contours of your room. The result? A seamless finish that looks like it was built with the house itself. Whether it’s an under-stairs cupboard to hide away the shoes and coats or a floor-to-ceiling bookcase in the lounge, we help you maximise every single square inch of your living space.

The kitchen is the heart of any home, and in our experience, a bespoke layout can completely change how you use it. We design and build handmade kitchens that prioritise your workflow, using high-quality materials like Solid Oak or MDF for a clean, painted finish. It's not just about the big units, though. Think about your bedroom — wouldn't it be nice to have fitted wardrobes that actually have enough room for everything? We can customise the internal configurations with hanging rails, pull-out drawers, and shoe racks tailored specifically to your needs. No more clutter, just beautiful, functional storage.

Newent is lucky to have so much architectural history, but keeping those period features in good nick takes a bit of care. If your sash windows are rattling or the frames are looking a bit tired, we offer a full restoration service. We often work with Accoya timber, which is fantastic for our Gloucestershire weather because it’s incredibly durable and won't swell or rot like some cheaper softwoods. From replacing rotten sills to crafting brand new wooden windows that match the original style, we take pride in preserving the character of your home while improving its energy efficiency.

When we come into your home, we treat it with the respect it deserves. We aren't just 'fitters'. We are carpenters who care about the fine details, from traditional dovetail joints to hidden cable management in our media units. You won't find any hidden costs here; we provide transparent, itemised quotes so you know exactly where your money is going.
